Product Description " DOUBLE DISH DRAWERS, 6 CYCS, 5 OPTIONS, HI-TEMP SCRUB, SENSOR WASH, QUICK CLEANUP, HARD FOOD DISPOSERS, COLOR TOUCH POINT" Customer Reviews Thank Goodness for Extended Warranty Date: 2010-01-02 | Rating: 2 My dishwasher is four years old, and taught me a very important lesson: Never buy new technology. Fortunately, I spent the money for the extended warranty, and am so glad that I did! It will be expiring this year and I will be getting another (any other) dishwasher. What's frustrating is that it replaced a dishwasher that was nearly 20 years old, and a contractor grade appliance at that. First, the pros: 1. Very, very cool looking. 2. The ability to wash a small number of dishes in one drawer. 3. It's very quiet. As one reviewer said, this must be the one made by F&P, because it's virtually silent. Cons - oh where do I begin? 1. Doesn't always clean dishes well. 2. As I sit here waiting for (still yet) another serviceman to figure out why the top drawer keeps opening on its own during midcycle... 3. Doesn't always empty completely. 4. Sometimes the top drawer (when it's working) leaks into the bottom drawer, which means that I have to wait until the top drawer has finished its cycle before I can start the bottom cycle. 5. The rinse agent cups leak, which means that the top drawer leaked into the bottom drawer. We don't know where the bottom drawer leaked to. 6. It's rare to find someone who can fix it. I'm thinking that a lot of my problems are due to servicemen "guessing" how to fix its various quirks and problems. So as you can see, it's beautiful, but completely unreliable. For the money spent on this, I think it's reasonable to expect it to work *at least* as good as the old but noisy dishwasher it replaced. I've had this for nearly five years, and it's been very frustrating almost the entire time. My tax refund has already been earmarked to purchase a replacement ... cheaper and more reliable. I can't imagine that any other could be more unreliable than this one. Blech. Date: 2008-10-28 | Rating: 1 The water noises are disturbingly and annoyingly loud. Sounds like someone taking a shower in the middle of the kitchen. Or like it's raining. If you can, buy the version made in New Zealand by Fisher & Paykel. Which I have in my other house. They look almost exactly the same but the F&P-made one is so much quieter and smoother operating. 0 Stars, if that were an option. Date: 2010-01-14 | Rating: 1 Normally, I do consider not only function, but form. But, heck, what good is a dishwasher that doesn't clean your dishes? This thing is piece of junk. AND I paid top dollar for it! I figured - go with a well-known brand, buy the top of the line unit they have and I won't have issues, right? I mean, how can you manufacture a dishwasher for $1500 and not get the very basic function... cleaning.. correct? Was there any quality control on this thing at all? There couldn't have been because this thing didn't clean - right out of the box. Do not buy. No No No. junk... Date: 2009-12-28 | Rating: 1 I bought this dishwasher from best buy and it has been nothing but problems. One would think spending 1500$ on an appliance would ensure quality but this dishwasher leaves food debris and film on all the dishes. I essentially have to completely wash the dishes before loading them which defeats the whole purpose of having a machine in the first place. I have had service people out at least 10 times and since the product is newer it seems that no one knows how to fix it. This product looks cool and the concept is great, but if your looking for function spend your money elsewhere.

Date: 2008-02-24 | Rating: 5 We purchased this dishwasher about 2 months ago and love it! We were replacing a 17-year-old Kitchenaid dishwasher that we installed when we first built our house, so of course dishwashers have advanced since then. This new Kitchenaid is MUCH quieter, MUCH roomier on both the top and bottom shelves (due to the tall tub design), and even gets our dishes cleaner. What's not to like! We are extremely satisifed with our purchase so far and would recommend this model to anyone. Great Machine - Excellent Value Date: 2008-11-02 | Rating: 5 We purchased this machine in black for $650. Machine's noise level is very close to that of Bosch but has far greater capacity, heated dry, and no strainer to pull and clean. Interior really has a commercial feel with a stainless steel four arm spray unit. Cycle time is a bit long due to energy savings wait periods in the cycle to give time for dried on foods to soften. Installed myself, unit was well packaged, light enough to handle alone, fit a standard opening with a couple easy leveling adjustments; discharge hose was plenty long to reach across a double sink to the disposal connection. Pretty good dishwasher - OK design - a little bit noisy but not bad - Date: 2008-09-28 | Rating: 3 We bought this about 6 months ago from Lowes - I think our model was only $675 but we got black color, not stainless. I find it difficult to see the actual rinse aid level - I can't really tell if it's full or needs more. That is a pretty minor thing though. Also, the design is ok - not fabulous or anything - but ok for the money. I don't think it's whisper quiet or anything, but it's reasonably quiet for the price. I don't like that it takes about 3 hours to run a "Smart" cycle which is what we were told to always use. However, this is probably true with most brands recommend "auto sensor" cycle. Also, you MUST be sure not load any large, tall pans or anything that blocks the soap dispenser. This is true of any dishwasher and I was about to call for service because our dispenser would be full of soap sometimes - but Lowe repair service did some basic phone questions before sending someone out, and I figured out that I was blocking the dispense just by putting a tall pan right in front of it. Extremely Disappointed Date: 2008-11-09 | Rating: 1 The dishwasher seized the first time we turned it on. The serviceman said the pump impeller was jammed solid, perhaps on a screw or piece of plastic left in the unit at the factory. The unit never even had a dish put in it. The entire motor/pump assembly needs to be replaced. We were told by the serviceman to not even think about asking for a replacement unit because we'll never get one from Whirlpool. It's been almost a month since we received it and it still isn't fixed. The store won't take it back and they want nothing to do with the problem. The old Hobart KitchenAid we had lasted 25 years but I will never buy a KitchenAid/Whirlpool product again. poor components! Date: 2008-12-01 | Rating: 1 bought 3 Kitchenaid appliances, dishwasher, installed microwave and range, 14 months later 2 of the 3 have had their internal computers crash.

Product Description KitchenAid has spent decades creating innovative products for the well-equipped kitchen. From commercial grade cooktops and wine cellars to stand mixers and an impressive assortment of cookware, bakeware and accessories, they offer virtually every culinary essential you could need. Drawer dishwashers create new possibilities for your existing kitchen, and extend your cleanup options into nontraditional areas such as islands and morning bars. Double drawer dishwashers offer the best of both worlds. They fit in the same space as a regular full-size dishwasher, but each drawer operates independently. You can wash heavily soiled pots and pans using once cycle, and a separate load - using a different cycle - in the other drawer.

Product Description KitchenAid has spent decades creating innovative products for the well-equipped kitchen. From commercial grade cooktops and wine cellars to stand mixers and an impressive assortment of cookware, bakeware and accessories, they offer virtually every culinary essential you could need. Before their dishwashers clean your dishes, they test them beyond accepted industry standards. The result is a wash system that delivers exceptional cleaning performance in many notable ways. A signature feature of all KitchenAid dishwashers is their convenient in-dishwasher food disposer. During the cycle, food particles are collected, ground up, then filtered out of the dishwasher. There is no filter to clean by hand - removing a common source of unwanted odors. Simply put, the in-dishwasher food disposer minimizes unwanted steps - such as pre rinsing dishes - letting you take dishes straight from the table to the dishwasher. Another example of their commitment to higher standards is their stainless steel lower wash arms. Four arms release jets of water from then precisely angled locations. Continuously sending water to every corner of the tub ensures that even your large loads receive maximum coverage. And, because they're made of stainless steel, you can expect them to wear well over time. Their wash system is also designed to consumer's needs. This drives them to innovations such as their ProScrub option. The ProScrub option delivers exceptional cleaning performance during a Normal cycle with no added time or energy/water consumption. Powerful spray jets increase water pressure at frequent intervals and direct the water towards dishes loaded in the lower rack. The concentrated cleaning is ideal for stubborn messes that result from seared, baked on, or caramelized soils. With the increased intensity occurring only in a specific area, you can still clean delicate stemware in the same load.

Features - Reduce Energy Consumption By At Least 25%. - ENERGY STAR Qualified Dishwasher - Sprays Water To Ten Precisely Angled Locations. - Dimensions: (WHD) 23 7/8 X 34 1/2 X 24 7/8 In. Product Description " 3 CYCLES, 3 OPTIONS, FULLY INTEGRATED CONSOLE, E-STAR " Customer Reviews Horrible product with no applicable "lemon law" Date: 2009-12-23 | Rating: 1 Our new KitchenAid dishwasher was not cleaning dishes about 4 months after we purchased it. The repairman has been out three times to replace the soap dispenser, within the 2 months since the first outage, but in examining the design it appears that the soap dispenser is too large for the unit and has difficulty opening because of the arrangement of shelves inside. We called Kitchen Aid and they declined to provide any solution or replacement model. They are only willing to pay for repeated replacement of the soap dispenser which is inconvenient and time consuming for us. Don't buy this product and my advice is to beware of any Kitchenaid products based on the fact that they are unwilling to stand behind them and there are clear design issues with this model. Piece of Junk Date: 2009-11-14 | Rating: 1 We purchased the dishwasher 1 year ago for our kitchen remodel. It does not work; every load leaves food stuck to the dishes, even on pots/pans. We had a warranty repair man out who told us nothing is broken, "that is the best it will work." I have tried several soap brands and running the hot water before running. Nothing. DO NOT BUY a KitchenAid dishwasher!
